DH was engaged as project manager for this high-end renovation project on the 52nd and 51st floors of the Hancock Tower. The core of the project was the expansion to the 51st floor including the addition of a very high-end stair case (pictured above) connecting the two floors. A 22 x 22-foot square of the 52nd floor deck was removed to create an opening that would create maximum views between the floors. The existing café was expanded, and the trading desk was relocated to make way for the new staircase.

Owner’s Project Management

  • Coordinated with the existing team; Gensler, project architect and R. D. Kimball, MEP-FP engineering
  • Worked closely with the design and engineering team, contributed to the overall design and value engineering process
  • Initiated and managed the RFP process for the engagement of General Contracting Services, serving as primary contact throughout the project
  • Created and maintained the master project schedule and budget
  • Attended and/or led all project meetings, supported IT planning, floor plan development, and approvals

Furniture and Equipment Management

  • Partnered with the architect in the furniture acquisition process
  • Arranged for tours of other firms to evaluate current trends in conferencing spaces.
  • Developed and coordinated all schedules for furniture deliveries and installations.


Relocation Management

  • Working with Adage’s operations staff, DH assisted as needed in all staff moves.
