Summary:

DH was competitively selected as the overall project director. The project assignment was to serve as the owner’s rep for Sappi throughout the project. Lease negotiations were underway for 1.5 floors of a mid-rise in the Waterfront area of Boston. DH contributed to the final stages of the lease and work letter negotiations, ensuring that Sappi’s best interests were met and the maximum dollars towards build out were obtained.

Owner’s Project Management

  • Created and updated the project’s schedule and budget
  • Attended and/or lead all project meetings
  • Supported:
    • ITplanning
    • Floor plan development and approvals
    • Landlord relations
  • Sappi had an existing architect, so Dowling Houy worked with the landlord to maintain this relationship
  • Owning the GC Services, the Landlord handled the RFP selection, but Dowling Houy vetted and added to the pre-approved pool of GC’s on Sappi’s behalf and ensured their best interests were met
  • RFP selection of:
    • A/V contractor
    • Signage
    • Artwork

Furniture and Equipment Management

  • Monitoring furniture selections, scheduling, delivery, and installation through punch list

Relocation Management

  • RFP selected the mover
  • Created and maintained detailed move schedule
  • Created and issued Packing & Tagging and Welcome Packet documents
  • Lead and coordinated weekly meetings
  • Provided timely and concise move communication to key points of contact
  • Staffed all moves and Post Move Command Center (tracked all post move requests through completion); provided all directions to movers
