Summary:

DH was selected as the overall project manager for this three-phase renovation and repositioning of client’s existing space at 155 Seaport Boulevard. The project assignment was to serve as client’s owner representative throughout the project. Client had previously engaged CBT as the project architect and R. G. Vanderweil for MEPFP engineering.

Owner’s Project Management

  • Worked closely with the design and engineering team, contributing to the overall Design and value engineering process, ensuring that the team focused on the client’s desired build to cost budget
  • Initiated and managed the RFP process for the engagement of General Contracting Services and was their primary contact throughout the project
  • Created and maintained the master project schedule and budget for the duration of the project, attended and/or lead all project meetings, supported IT planning, floor plan development, and approvals
  • Managed the renovation of the vacated floor(s) and then moved staff back to their final locations

Furniture and Equipment Management

  • Provided furniture reuse analysis, encouraging client to refinish existing office and administrative furniture in order to keep costs within budget
  • Provided alternate solutions to new furniture proposed by dealer and arranged for tours of other firms to evaluate current trends in conferencing spaces.
  • Developed and coordinated all schedules for furniture refinishing; deliveries and installations

Relocation Management

  • Assisted client’s operations staff in all staff moves to the swing floors and back to their final locations.
