Summary:
AVEO’s departing Facilities Director asked DH to provide services as the interim Facilities Director and Project Manager until construction projects and lab moves were completed. When DH was brought on the project was still in the design phase, and cost projections tracked at several million dollars over budget. DH’s principal recommended that the client change the construction team on the project in order to reduce the projected costs to meet the original budget. The construction of the new 25,000 sf ACF and labs, along with 75,000 sf of additional lab and office spaces, was completed on the new schedule, and was completed under budget by some $700,000.
Additionally DH analyzed and proposed alternative temporary space options to address a four month delay in project completion and coordinated the renovation and temporary moves to that space for existing AFC and Labs.
